Glorious Creative, Manchester

After browsing Glorious Creative's website I have come to realise that they seem to specialise in book and magazine creation. This is an area that I am interested in but have always been a little too intimidated to explore it further. I think GC could be a great eye opening experience for me, and help me decide whether I am interested in design for print for a reason or if its just a pointless fascination that I'll never do anything about. Another reason why I found this agency more fascinating than most was because I have actually seen their designs in circulation. Due to Manchester being 10 minutes away and the fact that I am there at least every other weekend for one reason or another it gives me plenty of opportunities to come across GC's design, most prominently the Cornerhouse programme redesign which can be seen below.

The reason behind the fact that I so often see work created by Glorious Creative is because they are northern and proud. They often take on clients based in the North ranging from large scale, such as Tate Liverpool and Manchester University, to much smaller, such as a local barber who has celebrated 40 years in the business. I like this approach and definitely think Northern and proud is the way forward.

The studio is located in the Northern Quarter of Manchester, a personal favourite location of mine, and further contact info like an email and phone number can be found here. It doesn't mention anything about  industrial experience, but why should that stop me looking into it?
