- Don't fall behind with the summer brief but instead try to get the majority done within the early part of the holiday. I just hope I am not in a mad rush in September.
- Try and do something productive every day. Not necessarily design related, just something that made the day worth while.
- Perfect the art of baking and try not to ruin the triplets birthday cake.
- Move out of Liberty Park and move all important items to the new house, where I will be greeted by five fantastic people.
- Don't waste that weekend in London. Go to the Tate, the Design Museum, basically anywhere where I can see current exhibitions and new designers. But also look at art on the streets as well and take photographs of inspiring items.
- Think of a fun way to spend my birthday, not just alone because everybody else is always on holiday in the middle of July.
- Keep a Summer blog that continues to document all design practice but also design context. Try to draw a little more, from observational to things created out of thin air.
- Try to look into work placements/experience, but it could be hard considering I don't really have any connections or even a clue as to where to look.
- Take a sketchbook to Mexico where I can use my downtime like traveling on the buses and trains to document anything that catches my eye. Take a moment every day to right down a few notes that help me look back at the experience and take something from it.
- Continue to think about the second year, never let it escape my mind that I have to come back in September with a healthy attitude and a good work ethic. This will make it easier when I have to get straight back into next years briefs.
